IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

The Caribbean Regional Information and Translation Institute (CRITI) was founded in January 2008 by the CARIFORUM Council of Ministers with support from the European Commission and headquartered in Suriname. CRITI focuses on bridging the existing language and other communication barriers to effective participation for all CARIFORUM Member States in the process of regional cooperation and regional integration. It especially emphasizes the needs of non-English speaking Members.

About Us
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), is a regional financial institution which was established by an Agreement signed on October 18, 1969, in Kingston, Jamaica, and entered into force on January 26, 1970. The Bank came into existence for the purpose of contributing to the harmonious economic growth and development of the member countries in the Caribbean and promoting economic cooperation and integration among them, having special and urgent regard to the needs of the less developed members of the region (Article 1 of the Agreement establishing CDB).

A workshop that is exploring the feasibility of trying to obtain data by trading partners is underway in Antigua and Barbuda. The workshop at the Jolly Beach Resort began on Monday and concludes Friday.
The workshop is being conducted as part of the CARICOM Project – Support to the Forum of Caribbean States in the Implementation of Commitments undertaken under the Economic Partnership Agreement – Services Sector Development – Component 5. The Project is funded by the European Union under the Tenth European Development Fund (EDF).

Four Options/Models were identified during field work in 2001 and further developed and modified during the Assessment Phase of the establishment of the coalitions. Each Member state was given the option to adopt the most suitable Model.
