Heads of Government start busy week for CARICOM
Heads of Government set the stage for an active start to 2021 for the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) when on Tuesday they continued their discussions towards initiating the economic recovery of the Region which has been devastated by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
At the 13th Special Emergency Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government held virtually, they received an update on the Caribbean Economic Recovery and Transformation (CERT) Plan, which is being devised by a regional team of experts under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Barbados, Honourable Mia Amor Mottley.

Ministers responsibly for #CARICOM Affairs in Member States are meeting in Guyana today.
This forty-second Meeting of the Community Council - CARICOM's 2nd highest organ - is deliberating on matters which will go before Heads of Government at their 4-6 July meeting in Montego Bay #Jamaica.
The meeting is being chaired by HE Mr Antonio Rodrigue, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Haiti.

The Community Council of Ministers of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), at its first sitting of 2018, expressed concern at the reports of the dehumanizing situation of African migrants in Libya being auctioned into slavery by criminal elements.

The unified strength of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) has enabled it to surmount challenges posed over 44 years of regional integration, CARICOM Secretary-General said Monday, urging the Community Council of Ministers to use those weapons to forge ahead.
