The Caribbean Hub of the European Union-funded project for Capacity-Building related to Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Countries, has announced that the winner of its Short Video Contest is aspiring scientist, Ms Lyn-Marie Lynton of Barbados.

The publication provides key information given the relative lack of baseline data and related time-bound objectively quantifiable targets for the sub-region, and is of particular value given the dependence on natural resources for livelihoods and well-being, and thus exposure to disruption and environmental disasters, of communities in many SIDS and developing countries in the region.
A Review of Progress Towards the Aichi Biodiversity Targets
Regional environmental officers are attending a workshop to help them prepare for a major international conference on biodiversity, to be held in Mexico in December. The CARICOM ACP-MEAs project is hosting the regional workshop October 11-13 at the Grand Coastal Hotel in Guyana.
