Dubbed Live with SG and hosted by the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors, the live social media interaction facilitated by Dominican based COMESEE TV in partnership with the CARICOM Secretariat was hailed a resounding success by young people - and adults too - across the Region.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Second Meeting of the Joint CARIFORUM-EU Council under the Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) was held at the Headquarters of the Council of the European Union in Brussels, Belgium on 26 October 2012. The Meeting delved into challenges that have arisen in the implementation of the EPA and provided political guidance, with a view to ensuring that EPA implementation remains on track.

Thirteen of the fifteen signatory CARIFORUM States were in attendance, with eight Delegations led by Ministers.

As the unemployment rate continues to escalate, especially among young people who comprise about 64% of the region’s population, job creation is one of the most challenging tasks facing Caribbean governments today.
