This is an historic phase in an already strong relationship between the United States of America and Caribbean Member States.

BRADES, Montserrat -- More than 15 senior members of staff from various government departments in Montserrat began a two-day workshop on developing an E-Government strategy during last month.

The workshop comes on the heels of the successful ICT Roadshow which highlighted the necessity for the island to develop a national information communication technologies (ICT) strategy, which would stimulate the island’s economy and social development.

BRADES, Montserrat -- Daniel Joseph of Lavabits, a software development firm on Montserrat was one of the featured presenters at the Caribbean ICT Roadshow BVI, which began on Tortola on Sunday, 16 May.

Joseph is part of a trio of young nationals who began the company last December to develop software for the global market. Daniel and his brother Samuel, along with Manish Valechha launched the company to provide real world solutions to the marketplace and to show that it could be done from Montserrat.

MANDEVILLE, Jamaica (JIS) -- As part of its 20th anniversary celebrations, the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) will be staging a regional Caribbean Information and Communication Technology (ICT) road show.

The Jamaica leg of the road show was launched on Wednesday under the theme, 'Harnessing the power of innovation - the engine for ICT-enabled Caribbean Development'.

CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union (EU), Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC) met in Madrid, Spain on Monday to finalise the “Madrid Documents” for approval by Heads of State and Government attending the Sixth EU-LAC Summit on Tuesday.
