Ā  (CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Security talks involving the Caribbean Community and the United States began on Wednesday (20 May) at the Royal Ballroom of Hotel Torarica, Suriname as both Parties ā€˜knocked heads together’ to chart the way forward in clamping domestic and transnational crime.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat has attracted widespread support to host its first Children’s ICT festival. The Festival takes place on Friday 22 May at the Guyana International Conference Centre from 8_30 a.m.

The theme of this event is ā€œProtecting Children in Cyberspaceā€ which is in keeping with the global theme of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day which was observed globally on May 17th 2009.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat is hosting its first ever Children’s Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) festival on Friday 22 May from 9_30 a.m. to mark World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD) 2009.

WTISD is observed globally on the 17th of May and the theme for 2009, ā€˜Protecting Children in Cyberspace’, seeks to raise awareness about creating a secure online environment for children.
