(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Recognising the need to have a solid Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) regime in place in order to effectively become a viable trading partner Member States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) are collaborating with the Organisation of American States (OAS) and the Government of Chile for a two day work shop on SPS measures.

As Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, it is such a great pleasure for me to welcome you to the Headquarters of the CARICOM Secretariat for the Launch and Inaugural Meeting of the Regional Task Force on Cultural Industries.
(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The newly established Regional Task Force on Cultural Industries was officially launched today (23 October 2008) by the CARICOM Secretary-General at the CARICOM Secretariat.
(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General HE Edwin W Carrington has charged the newly established Regional Task Force on Cultural Industries to recommend cutting edge ideas and approaches that would guarantee sustainability in Caribbean Cultural Industries and to adopt a coordinated regional approach that would build on, energise and promote the development of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy.
