The Government of Guyana has received financing from the Inter‐American Development Bank, toward the cost of the Citizen Security Strengthening Programme, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Services – conduct of a study on the alternatives to incarceration for pre-trial detainees.
The consulting services (herein after referred to as “the Services”) include, inter alia, exploring and presenting alternatives to pre-trial detention that are harmonious with criminal justice processes in Guyana and thereby contributing to a reduction in prison overcrowding and prevention of further criminalization of youths.
The Project Executing Unit of the CSSP now invites eligible individuals ((herein after referred to as “Consultant”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services.
Interested Consultant should provide information demonstrating that he/she has the required qualification and relevant experience to perform the Services. The following should be included in the Expression of Interest_
1. Cover Letter
2. CV of Consultant
3. Brief Methodology (not more than 3 pages)
The short list may comprise entirely of national consultants.
Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank_ Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-9 and is open to all eligible Consultants as defined in the policies. Specifically, for this consultancy selection will be in accordance with the principles of Comparison based on qualification of national individual consultant (QCNI) method.
