Description of the assignment
The project will utilize the services of a consultant to provide training to establishment a cadre of trainers equipped with skills to aid youth already in conflict with the law across the five (5) targeted member states_ Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Suriname. The participants will include educators, administrators, CSOs and FBOs, formal and informal community leaders. It is expected that no less than 30 participants will receive the training per country. The consultant is required to_
- Review and analyse previous reports of the Gangs and Violence_ Partnering For Prevention and Social Development Pilot Project to note best practices, lessons learnt and avoid duplication of efforts
- Identify topics to be covered in the training-of-trainers workshop. Core topics to be included_ gang prevention training, life skills development, mentoring and parenting skills.
- Develop/adapt content for the topics identified and indicate the methodology(ies) for delivery
- Develop trainer of trainers manual in English with translated copies in French and Dutch
- Conduct pre- and post- training evaluation via means deemed most conducive Â
- Deliver the training
- Submit a draft report with lessons learnt and recommendations for review by the project team and Technical Working Group
- Submit a final report incorporating suggestions/recommendations from the project team and Technical Working Group
