Participate in a briefing with Representatives from the CARICOM Secretariat Team and IICA to discuss the objectives and outputs and any other issues or developments related to the execution of the assignment that require clarification.
Provide a summary of the schedule / work plan to be followed and possible stakeholders to be consulted as part of its initial fact-finding exercise.
Develop the diagnostic and sensitization tools to be used in the Stakeholder consultations
The consultant will prepare and submit a draft inception report by week xxx that presents the findings of phase 1 activities
Conduct Stakeholder interviews with Member States as well as partner organizationsin Producer Associations
Develop an E-Agriculture Strategy for CARICOM, covering areas but not limited to_
An overview of the Regional agriculture context.Synopsis on the current E-Agriculture environment including existing solutions, providers and initiatives etc.
A vision of ICT for Agriculture in terms of what improvements could be expected at country and regional level by leveraging ICT particularly when it comes to product specialization, regional cooperation and enhancing foreign trade whether within or beyond the regional boundaries which can offer scope for alleviating regional agriculture and trade challenges.
Strategic recommendations to create an enabling environment for E-Agriculture including government leadership, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable business models and workforce development
