This first publication on Climate Change Statistics for CARICOM countries contains data up to 2019 in some instances, while for other series it comprises data up to 2012/13. Â It aims at providing statistics on climate change for the region and follows the Framework for the Development of Environment Statistics (FDES 2013) of the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and its refinements based on the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) schematic framework.
Grenada on Thursday, 10 June launched its National of Population and Housing Census.
The Census activities will begin on 15 September under the theme ‘Count us’. The slogan is ‘Nothing about us, without us because we all count!’
The Project for the Regional Advancement of Statistics in the Caribbean (PRASC), funded by the Canadian Government, is a seven-year initiative that begins this month. It is geared at strengthening the statistical system of the Caribbean in order to address identified gaps towards the improvement of socio-economic measures and to support evidence-based policy-making.
