Technical Focus

The aquaculture sub-project aims at promoting the growth of the Caribbean aquaculture industry by identifying and addressing underlying barriers, supporting capacity development, and supporting aquaculturists and prospective aquaculturists with farm development or improvement. The value chain assessment activity will be an important first step in identifying and addressing sector-wide barriers and bottlenecks. At the end of the project, the results should be discussed, reported and disseminated in the Caribbean region.

The CARIFORUM-EU EPA Implementation Unit is seeking a consultant for the period three (3) months to “Provide Technical Support to the CARIFORUM Directorate on the Implementation of Title II of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA.”

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has allocated financing towards the cost of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Support for Promoting Climate Resilient Development in Urban Areas through Complementarity and Coherence among Funding Sources and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued.  The financing shall not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import, to the knowledge of CDB,

Participate in a briefing with Representatives from the CARICOM Secretariat Team and IICA to discuss the objectives and outputs and any other issues or developments related to the execution of the assignment that require clarification.

Provide a summary of the schedule / work plan to be followed and possible stakeholders to be consulted as part of its initial fact-finding exercise.

Develop the diagnostic and sensitization tools to be used in the Stakeholder consultations
