I feel deeply honoured today to present to you, Secretary-General, the letters which accredit me as Guyana's Ambassador to the Caribbean Community.
The 24th Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean
Community (CARICOM) was held in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on 2 - 5 July 2003 and coincided with the so" Anniversary of the Community.
It was presided over by the Most Han Percival J Patterson, ON, Prime Minister of Jamaica and Chairman of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community.
CHRIST CHURCH, BARBADOS – The Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery’s (RNM) Seventh Technical Working Group (TWG) on Agriculture came to a close yesterday. The two-day meeting - convened in Bridgetown, Barbados, July 21 to 22 - provided an overview of agriculture trade negotiations in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA).

On behalf of the African Union and your brothers and sisters in Africa, I would like to thank you most sincerely for the privilege and opportunity you have given us to attend this 24th Regular Meeting of CARICOM, as well as join you as you celebrate the 30th Anniversary of CARICOM.
Hundreds of dancers, artists, musicians, actors and cultural exponents, representing these countries are set to entertain visitors during the gala event which has been described as the “Greatest Cultural Mix of All Time”.
One of the most important features of CARIFESTA VIII will be the Grand Market, in which all participating countries will have an opportunity to showcase their respective art and craft traditions.
We the Heads of Government of the member countries of the Caribbean Community meeting in Montego Bay, Jamaica under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of Jamaica, the Most Honourable Percival J. Patterson, on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Chaguaramas on 4 July 1973;
RECALLING the commitments signified in the Preamble and Articles of that Treaty establishing the Caribbean Community;
