The CARICOM Crime and Security Strategy (CCSS), 2013 establishes the overarching basis for citizen and national security and crime and violence prevention and reduction. The goal of the CCSS is to significantly improve citizen security by creating a safe, just and free Community, while simultaneously improving the economic viability of the Region. The Strategy identifies and prioritizes the common security risks and threats which CARICOM is currently facing, and is likely to face in the future.
