The CARICOM Youth Development Action Plan (CYDAP) aims to promote, through a regional partnership agenda, an enabling environment for adolescent and youth wellbeing, empowerment and participation in national and regional development. It is anchored in CARICOM Youth Development Goals (CYDGs) which outline five main policy areas and actions relating to (i) Education and Economic Empowerment, (ii) Protection, Safety and Security, (iii) Health and Wellbeing, (iv) Culture, Identity and Citizenship; and (v) Leadership, Participation and Governance. The goals propose minimum acceptable standards in wellbeing, empowerment and continuous engagement for young people between the ages of ten to twenty-nine (10 to 29).
