Jamaica is committed to trade liberalisation and to the World Trade Organisation. We will continue to work towards a successful Doha Round. Yet there is cause for concern.
(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) With three weeks to go before the launch of the CARICOM Single Market on 1 January 2006, Finance Ministers of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will meet in Kingston, Jamaica on Monday 12 December to finalise plans for the operation of a critical element of the Single Market.
CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of Government will hold a Special Meeting at the Sherbourne Centre, Barbados on Wednesday 7 December to discuss the finalisation of arrangements for the launching of the CARICOM Single Market (CSM) on 1 January 2006.
The target date had been set by the Conference of Heads of Government in 2002 at their Thirteenth Inter-Sessional meeting in Belize.

The Single Economy is one arm of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) with the other being the Single Market.
