CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR THE TRAINING OF TVET TEACHERS/INSTRUCTORS IN LITERACY AND NUMERACY INSTRUCTION 

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

1. Description of services_

A. Strengthening the capacity of the NDA/FP:

Strengthen the NDA/FP’s capacity to carry out its roles and responsibilities. Strengthening will be achieved through engagement in active communication with the GCF and all stakeholders, and through training provided to the NDA staff, the scope of which will not be limited to_

i. Increase knowledge of climate change and finance priorities

The Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) has received financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in an amount equivalent to EUR745,938 towards the cost of the Implementation of the Model Safe School Programme in the Caribbean Project and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this financing to eligible payments under a contract for which this invitation is issued.

CDEMA, the Executing Agency, now wishes to procure consultancy services for the Project Coordinator for the Implementation of Model Safe School Programme in the Caribbean Project.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with participating ministries within the GoSVG, and with the World Bank project team. The Project Coordinator will organize and plan project implementation activities and will manage project staff efforts in project development and planning, preparation, and execution. The Project Coordinator shall also be responsible for ensuring project activities are conducted in accordance with GoSVG and World Bank requirements.

The overall objectives of the consultancy are to :

Lot 1_ Buccament - Provide an updated assessment of the  hydrological / hydraulic conditions in the Vermont – Buccament catchment area and to develop a design for remedial works to ensure that the resulting system will provide long-term protection of public infrastructure from flooding and damage from the Buccament River;

Lot 2_ Carriere/Ford - Using existing hydrologic studies, provide an embankment design for the Ford river at Carriere;

St. Vincent and the Grenadines has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the      Regional Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for Construction of Satellite Warehouses Phase 2.

The Ministry of Economic Planning, Sustainable Development, Industry, Information and Labour invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction of the following_

Lot 1 – Bequia Satellite Warehouse

Lot 2 – Mesopotamia Satellite Warehouse

The Government of Dominica in collaboration the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) with financial support from the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) is in the process of implementing the Project entitled “Supporting Sustainable Ecosystems by Strengthening the Effectiveness of Dominica’s Protected Area System”. The Project requires the services of a GIS Specialist to support the Biodiversity Assessment.
