(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) As the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) continues to advance its food security agenda in the face of high food prices, Member States will join their Latin American counterparts in Georgetown Thursday primarily to further strengthen governance arrangements for food security at the regional and global levels.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) A wide cross-section of experts will start the process of formulating a food and nutrition policy for the Caribbean when they meet in Guyana next week.
The meeting takes place 30 November- 1st December 2009 in the form of a workshop and is being coordinated by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations (UN).
