The Study on Agrotourism Policy forms part of the Strategic Plan for Regional Development (SPRD) for the Caribbean Community that will give strategic focus to the achievement of Community goals and objectives in keeping with the Single Development Vision. The Plan will a ddress (i) self -sustaining economic growth; (ii) a full - employment economy; and (iii) spatially equitable economic growth within the Community as stated in the Single Development Vision that was approved by the Conference of Heads of Government in July 2007.

The simultaneous negotiation of several trade issues as part of one international trade agreement, such as the CARIFORUM Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA), is a complex process. Successful conclusion of the exercise requires not only administrative coordination but technocratic/thematic synchronization to ensure that per issue, the terms negotiated are complementary and are consistent with the overall negotiation mandate. Such undertakings are facilitated through a College of Negotiators.
The Terms of Reference for this concept paper demands a very short document, on a very broad topic, with very little published material to be presented in 5 minutes to a knowlegeable audience. Direct and desk research tapping the resources of the
Internet, personnel from CRNM, CEDA, Trinidad & Tobago Coalition of Services, DFID, CDB and Scientific Information Services (SIS) Ltd was conducted. The following is a snapshot of continuing research which it is hoped will generate intense discussion.
