The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), with funding from the 11th EDF Programme of Support for Health Security Strengthening for Prevention and Control of Outbreaks of Communicable Diseases in the Caribbean, is seeking to engage a consultant to develop and pilot (3) online courses/modules.
BACKGROUND
The Caribbean Community (CARIOCM), with financial assistance from 11th European Development Fund, intends to award a service contract for a Consultancy to Prepare Technical Position Paper on CARIFORUM’s Priorities for the Second Five-Year Review of the CARIFORUM-EU EPA in 2020.Â

UWI was established in 1962 with Her Royal Highness, Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone as the first Chancellor and Sir Arthur Lewis the first Vice Chancellor.
UWI comprises three main campuses (located at Mona, Jamaica, St. Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago and Cave Hill, Barbados) as well as the Centre of Hotel and Tourism Management in the Bahamas in addition to University Centres/Schools of Continuing Studies in twelve other Caribbean countries.
The CARICOM Civil Society Project which is funded under the 9th European Development Fund (EDF) Caribbean Integration Support Programme (CISP) commenced in March 2010.
It’s primary goal is facilitating regional Civil Society participation and engagement in the Caribbean Integration Process, including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).
The Project comprises two (2) main components:
– Country National Consultations
– A Regional Consultation to facilitate an exchange of views among regional stakeholders.
The UWI-CARICOM Project
This a collaboration between the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus), Jamaica and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat to facilitate informed perspectives by CARICOM nationals and the international community on the policy implication of positions taken by our major organs on a range of regional development issues.

The Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS, PANCAP, was established by a Declaration of CARICOM Heads of Government on 14 February 2001 in response to the threat of HIV to sustainable human development.
PANCAP is a Caribbean regional partnership of governments, regional civil society organisations, regional institutions and organisations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and contributing donor partners.
HIPCAR Project was conceived by the ITU, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat and the Caribbean Telecommunication union (CTU) in response to requests from CARICOM States and other ICT stakeholders who saw the need for a more unified approach to the subject.
The project aims to contribute to economic growth through a more competitive, productive and gender-equitable workforce in the Caribbean. It aims to strengthen Caribbean institutional capacity to implement, promote and conduct quality assurance of gender-sensitive occupational standards, workforce certification, and demand-driven technical and vocational education and training (TVET). This results in increased and more meaningful employment for TVET graduates and skilled workers in the region.
