(CARICOM Secretariat, Georgetown, Guyana) A Special Meeting of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministers responsible for National Security and Law Enforcement was held in Jamaica, 9-10 June 2005. The Meeting was convened to facilitate the dialogue between Ministers responsible for National Security and Law Enforcement and Law Enforcement officials and Cricket World Cup (CWC) 2007 on the security requirements and specifically the role of CARICOM and the CARICOM law enforcement agencies. A Special Meeting of Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Ministers responsible for National Security and Law Enforcement was held in Trinidad and Tobago, 10-11 May 2005. The Meeting was convened at the request of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, the Hon. Patrick Manning, Lead CARICOM Head of Government for Crime and Security who also chaired the Meeting.

The Tenth Meeting of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was convened at the Hilton Tobago Hotel, Scarborough, Trinidad and Tobago on 28-30 April 2004 under the Chairmanship of the Hon. John Rahael, Minister of Health, Trinidad and Tobago and under the theme, Investing in Human Resources with Special Reference to Health, Sustainable Development and the Environment.
CARICOM and MERCOSUR met at Ministerial level in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad on 24-25 February 2005 to continue discussions on the possibilities for negotiating a Free Trade Agreement to enhance trade and investment linkages between both Regions.
The Sixteenth Inter-Sessional Meeting of The Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community was held in Paramaribo, Suriname, February 16-17, 2005 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Drs.
