I wish to join the First Lady of Haiti, Madam Sophia Martelly, in bidding you a warm welcome BIENVENUE!. Indeed, it is a pleasure to have so many of you for the first time in Haiti under the PANCAP umbrella.

​(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Monday, 15 October 2012 marks the fourth observance by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) of Caribbean Statistics Day, which is aimed not only at raising the profile of statistics and statisticians across the Region but also at recognising the crucial role of statistics in the advancement of the daily lives of the people of our Community.

While in Korea the Secretary-General will attend the Second High Level Forum on Korea-Caribbean Partnership to be held in Seoul on 31 July and address CARICOM Day celebrations on 30 July at the2012 World Exposition being held in Yeosu, Korea.

This was the key message of Ms. Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland, Director, Pan Caribbean Partnership Against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP) who was at the time addressing a session on the sustainability of the Caribbean Region’s HIV response at the XII International AIDS Conference (IAC). The IAC is being held from 22-27 July 2012 in Washington, DC, USA.
(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) PANCAP’s Caribbean Regional Social Marketing Project (CARISMA) will be rolling out a new media campaign in five English speaking Caribbean countries (Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana and Saint Lucia) on July 25, 2012. The campaign aims to generate more compassion and respect for individuals living with HIV.
