(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) Honourable Minister, I take this opportunity to welcome you - certainly not to your first COTED, but in your capacity as Minister for Trade of Grenada. And, of course, you have arrived in style – to take up your place as Chairman of this Council.

I also want to especially welcome the Hon. Erwin Contreras, Minister of Trade of Belize who is attending his first COTED Meeting.

CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) It is for me always a special pleasure and honour to accept the Credentials of a Plenipotentiary Representative of a Member State to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and I warmly welcome you and your delegation to the Headquarters of the CARICOM Secretariat.

The Bahamas is a valued Member of our Community, and the fact that yours was one of the first diplomatic appointments made by the recently-elected Government of The Bahamas is testimony to the importance that your country attaches to its membership of CARICOM.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) It is indeed a pleasure for me to address the opening of the 11th Caribbean Week of Agriculture, here in the beautiful country of Antigua and Barbuda whose government graciously consented to be the host for this week of activities. Since 1998, the CWA has become the signature event for the Region’s agriculture since it brings together a wide variety of stakeholders from the private sector, government, academia, and civil society, including youth and women, to examine the Caribbean’s most enduring sector.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) It is a distinct pleasure for me to address this Second High Level Forum on Korea-Caribbean Partnership between the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Republic of Korea. It is a pleasure both because of the warm and friendly relations between the two sides and also because of the generous hospitality extended to us since our arrival here in this beautiful country. Having experienced the magnificent Yeosu Exposition yesterday and taken in some of your breathtaking scenery, it is a pity that our stay is so short.
