(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Fifteenth Meeting of the Regional Census Coordinating Committee (RCCC) which began in Suriname 8 November 2007 will focus on preparations for the 2010 Round of Population and Housing Censuses in Members States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the Federal Republic of Germany will sign shortly, an Agreement under which Germany will provide up to eight million Euros to fight HIV and AIDS.

CARICOM will sign the agreement on behalf of the Pan-Caribbean Partnership against HIV/AIDS (PANCAP), Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, His Excellency Edwin Carrington said on Tuesday, 30 October 2007.

Colleague Heads and Representatives of Community and other Regional Institutions, Friends All.

For me it is really a great pleasure to welcome you all to the Headquarters of the Caribbean Community. As Secretary-General, I frequently welcome partners, stakeholders and guests to the Secretariat. Today, however, there is a special resonance to my greeting, for really the greeting is to members of the family of Institutions of the Community, all mandated and dedicated in their various domains to improving the quality of life of the people of the Caribbean Community.
