(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was invited by the Government of Grenada to mount a CARICOM Electoral Observer Mission (CEOM) to observe the Grenada Parliamentary Elections.

In response to that invitation, a seven-member delegation, under the leadership of Chief of Mission, Dr. Jennifer Van Dijk-Silos, Chairperson of the Independent Electoral Council of the Republic of Suriname has arrived to observe the conduct of the taking of the poll.

The CARICOM Electoral Observer Mission, at the invitation of the Government of Jamaica, monitored the conduct of the General and Regional Elections on 29 December 2011.

The Group of seven persons was deployed in two teams of two each and one of three to cover Election Day activities, in the parishes of St. Andrew, St. Catherine, St. Thomas and Kingston.

As mandated by the CARICOM Secretariat, the teams’ mission was to observe_

(i) the opening of the poll;

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was invited by the Government of Jamaica to establish a Mission to observe the General Elections to be held on December 29, 2011.

In response to that invitation, a seven (7) member Observer Group under the leadership of Mr. Winston Estwick of Barbados, was selected. Mr. Estwick and three (3) members arrived in Jamaica on Monday, 26 December 2011.

The Mission comprised the following persons_

The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) was invited by the Government of the Republic of Guyana to establish a Mission to observe the 2011 General Elections.

In response to that invitation a fifteen (15) member Observer Group under the leadership of Mr. Hensley Robinson of Barbados and Ms. Lorna Simon of Antigua and Barbuda was selected with the Core Group of Mr. Robinson and Ms. Simon arriving in Guyana on Tuesday, 22 November 2011.

  (CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will mount an Observer Mission to elections in Saint Lucia on 28 November 2011. The 10-member team will be headed by Chief of Mission, Ambassador Rudy Collins of Guyana. Deputy Chief of Mission is Mr. Eugene Petty of St. Kitts and Nevis.

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana) A six member team from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will travel to Haiti on Saturday 4th February, to observe the first round of next Tuesday’s presidential and legislative elections.

The team will be headed by Jamaica’s former Director of Elections, Mr. Noel Lee, and will include observers from other Member States.
